Default Woolite Rug Stick CS Phone Call

I purchased a Woolite Rug Stick to use in between my Steam Cleanings. To my disappointment, the flimsy handle, horrible execution of foam on the rug and it's complete inability to function as a 'rug cleaner', prompted me to make a phone call to Bissel (the makers of woolite rug stick).

Here is a run down of that phone call:

Me: I used the woolite rug stick and it did not pick up any stains or clean my carpet. All it did was move foam around the carpet. After it dried, I vacuumed like the instructions suggested and there was no difference in my carpet.

CS: The rug stick is made to revitalize the carpet. For stains we recommend purchasing a bissel steam cleaner.

Me: It says on the box: "Picks up Dirt & Stains". It failed to do this.

CS: I am sorry for that. You really need to buy a steam cleaner.

Me: I have a steam cleaner. I use it every 6 weeks. I thought this would be a good way to spot treat the carpet in between carpets.

CS: No, this is an overall cleaning sweeper.

Me: Then why does it say "Lift Stains"?

CS: We recommend Steam Cleaners for stains.

Me: Can I send this back to you for a refund?

CS: No, we do not accept returns or offer refunds, unless the item is purchased through us.

So, do not purchase this item unless you are positive it will work for you. They DO NOT stand behind their product and in my specific case this did NOT do anything but push foam around my carpet.

Ugh!!! I am never buying a woolite carpet product again.

Buyer Beware.

AGH...so glad I found this post. I was about to go by one. My carpet is so stained! We have a steam cleaner, but it is a pain to drag out and doesnt pick up all the stains. Any suggestions?

Now that is horrible customer service and false advertising!!

I bought one too, but only with the intentions of freshening my rugs between cleanings. I think it did well with minor spills and removing odors, but it is definitely not meant for deep cleaning in any way, shape, or form. I wouldn't expect it to remove any old stains or such.

Sorry you had such a bad experience and I hope you were able to return it to the store!

Ahh, DRATS. I bought this thing to clean a rug in my family room---now I'm disappointed.
AND I TOTALLY AGREE with the false advertising statement--- that lady on the commerical with the white carpet looks like SHE was using the Rug Stick to get her white carpets clean, not some bulky steam cleaner!!! Grrrrr, that kind of blatant 'lying' irritates the heck out of me.

I'll try the rug stick, and if it doesn't work, I'll call the company to complain as well. I believe there is 'power' in numbers and if they get enough complaints, maybe they won't show their dishonest commercials any longer, and pull their product.

Thanks for the heads up OP.
