Default Campbell's Select Soups

My review: They're terrible. I brought both cans that I bought to work today; one to eat, the other to leave in my desk for a rainy day. I opened the first can (Clam chowder), heated it, etc. After 3 bites, the rest went down the toilet. Every piece of clam had more sand in it than clam and so the entire can tasted like sand. I then proceeded to open the second can (Chicken alfredo - can't go wrong, right?) Wrong. The same exact sandy like taste.

Has anyone else tried them? Did I just get bad varieties or bad batches or do I just like more "junk" in my food or what? This stuff is disgusting! Even at 70 cents for 2, I couldn't bring myself to eat this stuff!

I had a chicken tortilla one last night and it tasted good to me.

I'm thinking it was a bad batch. There was actually a bunch of sand at the bottom of the bowl when I dumped it and then I'm guessing the leftover taste in my mouth attributed to the second one being icky. Do you think I should email them about it? Has anyone ever had Campbells respond to them before?

I had the Southwestern Vegetable Soup and it was horrible. Probably, one of the worst soups I have ever tasted. Hope the others taste better.

The italian wedding soup is good. My son has been eating the chicken with rice and chicken with noodle because he is sick. I don't know if it's good or not because I'm not sure how much he can taste. He did add salt to the chicken noodle and now that I think about it he hasn't added salt to soup before.

My daughter loves progresso and campbell's chunky and she wouldn't eat more than a bite. She said the carrots don't taste good. She's 6.

I was afraid to try some of the different flavors like tortilla or the chicken alfredo. I figured it would be good to stick to basics like the chicken with rice just in case the lower sodium tasted ick.

If there was sediment or sand at the bottom that sounds like a bad batch. Maybe too much spice got dumped in or something.

I got mostly the Italian Wedding and Chicken Noodle. I hope they are decent.

I got the Maryland Crab Soup. Now I don't expect it to be the real thing but I'll add some Old Bay to it. That seems to make everything taste better! Can you tell I was originally from Baltimore??? They just don't know how to eat crabs down here in Florida.

You sound just like my husband! He's a MD transplant, too. He liked the Maryland Crab Soup after he dumped a load of Old Bay in it.

We've tried a few varieties - I liked the Tomato Basil, and my husband really liked the chicken noodle, Italian wedding, and the clam chowder. He said there was no sand in his, so the previous poster must have had a bad batch. I'd write the company.
