Well, I can tell this about the Magic Jack from a phone call I received while working for the bank a few months ago. A lady got charged too much and was trying to figure out why. I was helping her try to locate any contact info on the Magic Jack site-NOTHING. No phone number, no contact us link, nothing. We ended up filing an investigation because there was just no way to contact the company to find out what the issue was.

I actually had three or four customers call in about being overcharged by them, all of which had investigations filed. I would bother with this company.

I have Magic Jack, but don't use it. The service is very sporadic. The only way I was able to talk with anyone was through chat from their site. Not much help. I'm still searching for a way to cancel service so it isn't automatically renewed when the year is up.
I switched to Skype and love it. Our cell reception isn't very good out here in the country. Skype has worked great. I bought a VOIP phone from the Skype site and am very pleased.

I have magic jack and love it. I once had a problem with my service of putting people on hold while I was talking to them, went on the magicjack website and solved the problem with a technician online. It was a setting on my computer that was the problem. Haven't had a problem with it since. I recommend it to everyone.
