A Vietnam-imported sweetened ginger is being recalled for containing a preservative not listed on the label. Domega International Company, Brooklyn, NY, is withdrawing from sale its Korica Brand Mut Gung Sweetened Ginger because it contains sulfites without listing them on the product label.
Anyone with sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The ginger, sold nationwide in seven-ounce plastic tubs, does not have a product or production code on its label.
