WASHINGTON, July 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Redcat Racing remote control toys due to a product defect. The remote control vehicles can lose their signals and run out of control, creating a risk of injury, CPSC said in a statement.
The recall includes models of road buggies, road trucks and "off road Truggy" vehicles. About 1,400 of the toys were sold between March 2007 and April 2008 for $280-$400, CPSC said.
Consumers were advised to stop using the toys and contact Redcat Racing Co. of Phoenix, for a replacement remote control.
Consumers can call Redcat Racing Co. at 602-454-6445 for information.
