I ate a bowl of Malt O Meat Marshmallow Mateys last night and within an hour had diahreah and vomiting that lasted through the night. I emailed the company but haven't heard back yet. I won't eat that cereal again!

The only Malt O Meal cereal that I eat is the hot cereal (it's like Cream of Wheat). I have one open box, and another that's unopened, but I doubt anything is wrong with either one. I've been eating out of the first box for a few weeks, at least once a week. And the other box has the same product numbers on it, so it should be fine.

Malt O Meal emailed me back saying it just couldn't have been their cereal that made me sick but they'll send me a refund anyway. I'm not interested so much in the refund as in the safety of the product...I hope nobody else got sick from the Marshmallow Mateys variety.
