| Re: CHALLENGE: Creative Ways to Make a Couple of bucks!! yardsale or see if you have a local store (ours is the Kmart parking lot) where you can set up a small table, get traffic, and you don't have to advertise in the paper
Offering Potlucks esp non insert ones for paypal/stamps
mystery shopping
post for items you can use on freecyle.org then put the $$ you would have spent on them in your fund
set up a RME account (PM me for details)
check the paper for partime work
Call Able Body/Manpower/one of the free placement agencies to see if there is work you can do at home esp if you type
Dumpster Dive for coupons and then trade, etc. on the board
Check your local churches, etc to see if they need fill in help for evening events
Contact local catering companies to see if they need waitstaff, etc.

| Re: CHALLENGE: Creative Ways to Make a Couple of bucks!! I've been selling items on Craigslist. This week I've sold 30 boxes of wet wipes for $2/each. I only paid about $0.30 for them.
If you do crafts, you could sell them as well. Many areas have craft co-ops where you pay a small fee for space in a store and then display your items for sale. Of course there is the up front fee, but if you do something original it could be a good money generator. Or check into selling on Etsy.com
If you don't want to do a traditional yard sale, you can do an online one. Take pictures of all the items you want to sell and upload them into a free photo account online. Then post on some different Yahoo, Google, etc. groups and craigslist for an online yard sale. Craigslist is probably the best since you wouldn't have to deal with shipping, but either way you avoid the fees of Ebay.

If you have a link to locations around the US, please forward it! Thanks so much for all the ideas, keep 'em coming!!! |

Then they only paid $15 the first time and $10 after that. I think I could donate 3 times a week. Sounds like you can make lots more now. Great ideas everyone. |
