ok-so I have been brainstorming and the teacher in me came up with these ideas:

1. teach a scrapbooking class
2. teach a couponing class
3. teach a budget/time saving cooking class combined with the coupon class

I'm not sure how to get a group of people together around here- RI seems to be very limited in coupon usage... sometimes I feel like I'm the only one!!

Hello
I'm really new to the coupon clipping thing . I am going into my 4th month this August. However, this last week Dillon's (our kroger store here in Mo.) ran a sale of buy 10 items get $5.00 off. They had Betty Crocker cookie mixes $1.50 each.If you bought ten it made them $1.00 each and with the .50 off coupon printable on-line doubled (Dillon's doubles .50 or less coupons) made them free. My 14 yr old daughter wanted to make some extra spending money for stuff for school she wanted but we could not afford. So I came up with a bake sale at a meeting we go to every week. The sale of the cookies is pure profit for her.

just an idea.

Thanks for your ideas! Ebay and Craigslist seem to be my best bets right now, but I'd still love to find some more creative ways to make a little extra cash... So the challege continues!!!

I hear of people playing some sort of games on the computer and getting points to turn into cash.
I never paid attention to the names. There are many. Winzy might be one of them.

I use GPT sites to generate soem extra cash, some pay with gc or products but many will send you a check or paypal. My favorite is Cash Crate they send a check once a month once you have reached $10. I have earned several hundred dollars in a month from these type of sites, just be sure you don't do things you have to pay for up front. I still spend about 30 minutes a day on these sites to generate extra cash.

Additionally, I take all of my children's clothes, toys, etc.. to our local resale shop or a consignment shop. At the resale shop they pay you when you drop off your things, and the consignment shop they pay for once a month, but the % is a little higher.

I at times have organized parent's night out. A movie some popcorn and you can make some quick cash.

I think donating plasma has already been mentioned. My sister is a single mother struggling to pay her bills, I know she donates twice a week for about $75 a week.

I think the couponing class is a great idea.

Good Luck!

You may want to check w/ your local free ad paper. I work for one. I insert 1-2 days a week, piece rate for about 5 hrs. per day. Someimes I can make up to $15/hr. (which is excellent for PT work in my area) they also have paper routes available. Some are sm and others are not but, it's 1 day a week,no collections and you have a 48 hr. window to get them delivered. We enjoy the walk, and as a PP. mentioned you could recycle cans...we collect them when we're out delivering.

Thanks so much for all the ideas, keep 'em coming!!!

There's a place known around the world called Aventis Plasma Center. They use to pay nicely but may not know more, not sure since i have not been to one in a very long time. I use to work for one. There are some restrictions in donating so make sure you ask for guidelines before you go and wait forever and then get turned down. Your first visit takes a few hours to do but after that it goes pretty quickly. I recommend you start drinking water the day before you donate. The more water you drink the faster your blood will pump out for them to get the plasma. Also make sure you have ate something but not a big meal before donating. When i would have to turn people down from donating it would be because they would not eat propper or drink water before donating. It really can mess the vitals up.

1. Teach a couponing class.
2. Type papers for high school or college students
3. Tutoring
4. Offer child care on weekends
5. Dog walking or pet sitting
6. Housekeeping

A couple years ago, I took a weekend job as a bag checker at UA's football games. All I had to do was do a quick check of purses and bags to make sure no one was taking booze and weapons into the stadium. I met a lot of nice people doing this and it gave me something to do on boring weekends. We started 3 hours before the game and continued until the 2nd quarter. We got free admission into the remainder of the games. It only paid $9/hour but it helped.

This past tax season, I prepared simple tax returns for locals. All I needed was their tax information, my computer, and taxact.com.

I've been thinking about trading in some of my old, broken jewelry that has been sitting in my jewelry box for years and getting some $$$ since gold is at a high price these days. Has anyone done this yet??? The old jewelry isn't doing me any good just sitting there.
