• Coupon Policies

The stores in Birmingham, Auburn, and Montgomery definitely do double up to .50. They will double 10 like coupons, anything after is taken at face value.

Printables: YMMV. My stores accept printables, but some may not.

Competitor Coupons: Again, YMMV. My stores do not.

• Does Bruno's have BOGO (buy one get one free) sales?

Yes! And the sale is programmed to be buy two at half price, so you can use a coupon on each item and save even more.

• Catalina Machines

Bruno's does have catalina machines. I have yet to find an "in" to knowing what coupons are available, but if you find a great deal, you can roll your catalinas to get free or nearly free items.

• Uscan

There are U-scans in many of the Bruno stores. Be prepared for the person managing them to come and check out your coupons. You can scan them yourself, but they do come and inspect. Try not to get angry, they are just doing their jobs. Sometimes there are groovy catalinas in the Uscan trashcans.

• Do I need a card to get maximum savings at Bruno's?

No, you do not. This could change in the future, however, because Bruno's sister stores, Bi-Lo and Food World, both require customer cards.

• Clearance/Closeout Merchandise

You can use a coupon on closeout merchandise if it is on the shelf with a closeout tag. Check the UPC. If it doesn't have a black mark through it, you should have no problems. I have had problems using a coupon on merchandise that had been marked through the UPC.

I've seen where Bruno's doubles coupons.....I'm in FL, so I obviously know nothing about how that is done! haha Can you tell me how that works? TIA

You would have to call your store and ask, but the stores in Birmingham will double up to 10 of any one coupon up to .50 each. So, a .50 coupon becomes $1 off .

When you buy a BOGO sale item, at MY stores, the items ring up half price, so you can either buy one or use a coupon on each item to further your discount. Then, a 2.69 item, paired with two .50 coupons, doubled, becomes .69 for two. You can buy up to 10 of these items (5 bogo deals) and your coupons will double. You can also use a coupon that is for /2 on a bogo deal because you ARE buying two.

If your coupons are .55 or greater, then it doesn't matter how many you use, because you aren't going to get doubles on those, anyway.

Thanks so much! Just want to be sure I understand....so any q that is .50 & under they will double?

Do they do this everyday or on a specific day(s)?

It's every day at my stores.
You need to call yours, though, to find out. Your store may not double at all, but you won't know until you ask.
Mama22qts stores just started doubling recently, so if other stores in your area do not, then yours probably doesn't.

I had a .55 coupon double this past week. I wonder if the policy is changing to more than .50 doubling

Now I'm going to have to go to Bruno's and use a .55 and .60 q to see what happens. LOL
