Ok so question, I had someone try to tell me that this is only valid if it's in that week's ad. Do I need to place ANOTHER call to corporate about it?

According to the website, I would think it is all the time. Unfortunately, if your store is not cooperating sometimes a call to corporate is what it takes.
I don't know any other way to to fix it.
