| BIG Change In Bloom Coupon Policy! I went into Bloom this morning for my 2nd Super Double Trip - I did one yesterday and everything went according to plan. 20 coupons, super doubled, internet coupons included, etc., etc.
This morning as I was checking out, the cashier was putting some coupons in a different pile. I didn't question it and 2 seconds later, there was a manager standing there. They inform me that their coupon policy changed (and they were told yesterday)!! Only ONE internet coupon per item, per transaction. So, no more getting (2) or more of anything in one transaction with internet coupons. There was ZERO signage about this change. So, I didn't raise a stink, just unbagged those items and told the cashier to take them off my order.
I went over to the customer service desk - let me just say, what a disaster!! Bottom line (and I spoke with 3 different managers) - they have a new policy, they got the paperwork on October 8th, they are instituting it today, they don't know if the (1) internet coupon (per item, per transaction) is "per transaction". Hope that makes sense. I point blank asked - "So, can I have more than one transaction and use another internet coupon for the same item I had in the first transaction". No "real" answer - they didn't know.
I suggested that since they changed this mid Super Doubles, they may want to post a sign or something to clue couponers in to this change. Basically, the manager said they don't have anything to post. What?! How about just a little sign at the front of the register stating the new policy? His answer - "We haven't been told by corporate to do that". I asked "But you've been told to institute a new policy, but not to tell anyone?" No answer.
I got the managers card and told him that the coupon policy had not changed online - that I would definitely know and it would spread like wildfire if it was changed. I can't find the actual coupon policy on the Bloom site now - does anyone have a link to it?
Next stop, an email to the corporate office.
FYI - This was the Bloom in Mint Hill, NC - in case you shop there!

FYI - This was the Bloom in Mint Hill, NC - in case you shop there! | While you are contacting corporate ask them WHY Bloom employees can use unlimited internet coupons?
This happened to me today. I'm in line behind an employee. She arrived at the checkout line with all her items in paper bags. The clerk did not even check the bag to see what was being bought. This employee-customer had at least 8-10 internet coupons for baby items.
Harris Teeter does have a limit of 2, so if Bloom is going with a limit of 1, there is at least precedence with other stores having a limit too. The limit may be because people could print them fraudulantly. What prevents me from having a new printer, and get an internet coupon off the internet and then print all I want? I'm not doing and neither or you, but this may be behind the limits. Harris Teeter told me to print the entire page, not just the coupon. Do not cut the internet coupon out just take the whole page and that proves it was an internet coupon. |
