Bloom ~ Question: Bloom triples in Charlotte area?

I received the exact same emails as you gals did. I'm hoping that will all the emails, etc. that we can get them to do more triples soon.

I also heard that the Bloom does very well when they have triples, that's why there were doing it once a month. I think since they found out that HT started the 'super doubles' they were going to try that out for a few months to see how they did compared to other stores offering this sale. I will tell you I didnt travel to my nearest Bloom (which is about 15 miles away) for super doubles. There weren't any really 'Good' deals for me to travel that far for.

I just got confirmation that the Charlotte area will be having Super Doubles starting this Wed (Oct 28th).

Someone should ask corporate why the Upstate S.C. area (counties around Anderson and Greenville) has been having triples every week if you see other threads, you see they seem to be having triples multiple times in a row.
It must have something to do with marketing.
Southern N.C. has so many different chains 6 (if you count Compare Foods) you'd think Bloom would want to draw customers from other stores. I'd like to know how many dollars worth of triple or super double coupons they take in versus a normal week. It seems the regular Bloom shoppers who get the paper delivered on Sunday, that group of coupon users is not going to dramatically increase in size. Very slowly would they learn of sites like HCW, have the space to stockpile, etc. I'd bet most of the customers who use more than 4-5 like coupons during triples or super doubles is most of the same group that used it the last time. I've got an Aunt who is an avid coupon user but she only gets one insert a week. Her shopping habits do not change just because Bloom has triples.
And I find two groups of people that do not use coupons. Unfortunately, I see alot of shoppers who "need" to use coupons, and then some people who would be embarrassed to be seen using one. I've got another Aunt who is very well off. I told her about my coupon use and she scoffs at the idea, since she basically cares less about what something cost.

I think the dbls & triples so frequently in some SC stores is a test market. There are no stores nearby in SC that ever triple. Our Bilo only dbls to .60, Publix only dbls to .50, and Food Lion doesn't dbl or triple here.

I think since they are so overpriced, they are having to do this to get customers in the door.
When I went into Bloom (during the 3 or 4 wk break from when triples ended & before they started doing super dbls), it was like a ghost town. There were more employees working than customers in the store.
Employees were being sent home early because they weren't busy.

It is my understanding that Bloom has lost alot of money this year. Doing triples has allowed them to get larger volume discounts for all stores and some type of help from manufacturers to make up part of the difference between cpn amt & tripled amount.
The stores doing dbls & triples aren't showing profits (due to dbls & triples). But the stores in other areas are showing profits since they are able to purchase @ such volume purchases.
