Bloom ~ Question: Bloom - Triples in MD?

Does anyone know what's going on with Bloom triples in Maryland? My store, at least, didn't participate in the last triples weekend. :sad: It's the only store I am able to shop that triples, so if they are not going to continue, I'd like to know so I can plan my coupon clipping accordingly. Thanks for any help!

you should get an indication in 2-3 weeks as it will then be time for them to triple down here in SC/NC like they have been doing once a month.
If you get no triples then, well, your stores may be in a market with no competition or not enough competition to warrant triples. Bloom has tons of competition down here like Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Bi-Lo, Aldi, and Compare Foods. There are 3 Harris Teeter, 4 Bi-Lo, 1 Lowes Food, 1 Aldi, 1 Compare Foods and 4 Food Lion all within 10 miles of our Bloom store. THAT is competition and the Lowes and Bi-lo's double to .99 and HT triples once a month and doubles to .99, so Bloom is trying to match that. The number of those other stores within 25 miles of a Bloom would be staggering, maybe well over 50 stores that are non Bloom, though Bloom is really a Food Lion or owned by them.

HOPE you get triples there in MD. They should triple in all stores or not at all. I'm willing to give up my Bloom triples in order to say that.

I was very sad about not having triples last go around. I think they have plenty of competition, we have a HT here, Superfresh, Giant, and Shoppers that all do triples. I love Bloom triples because their BOGOs ring up half price!

This isn't really helpful, but I wanted to let my fellow Bloom shoppers in MD know that I spoke to someone from Bloom Corporate, and she said that MD "may or may not" continue participating in triple coupons. (Helpful, huh?) She said that sometimes their stores do triples just as a "test" to see how popular it will be. Then they stop doing it (at least for a little while). She is supposed to get back to me with more information. I will post again when I hear from her. *Fingers crossed*...

I haven't forgotten about updating this; I just haven't heard back from Bloom yet. I sure do hope they triple this month!

I hope you get triples in MD! It seems rather unlikely that the reception of triples is so vastly different in MD than it is in VA or other states. :shrug7: It's not like your state economy is so much better than ours in VA Anyhow, here's to hoping for some good news for you and all the MD bloom-ers ;)

I just received an email from Bloom that says:

"The Triple Coupon Promotion has not stopped. We will continue to have it in select areas. Please watch your sales flyer each week for details..."

I'm not sure that's any more helpful than the woman on the phone telling me they "may or may not" continue triples in Maryland. Oh well. At least they followed up. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help to other MD Bloom shoppers!
