One working mom's random musings and opinions on consumerism. It may start out boring, but it will get better I promise. Stay tuned.
Sonic can you hear me?

Why, oh why, do you continue to tease me with your commercials? Why are there commercials on my tv, but no Sonic within 40 miles?
I fell in love with Sonic when we lived in the midwest. Came back east, and no Sonic. Then Sonic commercials starting appearing on my tv. Still no Sonic.
Crushed ice. It's such a simple concept, yet you're the only one who does it. And what is better than a fountain Coke with crushed ice? And your tater tots. Mmmmm. And of course the slushies.
Are you listening Sonic? Because if you are, contact me and I'll give you my zip code so that you can build one near me. Until then, I guess I'll just stick with Five Guys. Sure, their fries are better. But no slushies and no crushed ice.

Bummer! However, as with most businesses their prices went up...the crushed ice once $1.49 for a bag is now $1.99. I went the other day just for a Rt44 cup of ice and it went from .35 cents to .84 cents! Just for ICE!!! I'm sure it will continue to be on the rise! We usually don't go to Sonic much; I think the only good thing is their 1/2 price fountain drinks 2-4 pm daily.
Hope you get a Sonic soon!Posted 05-28-2008 at 07:53:11 AM by mom2fiveaz

Shakes are 99 cents all summer! The rest of the menu is pretty expensive if you don't have a school partner card or other discount/coupon. We've got 5 or 6 in a city of 60,000. Every little town in the state with a population over 1,000 seems to have one so it's not really that special anymore. We really only go for half price slushes, drinks and shakes.Posted 06-11-2008 at 09:06:08 PM by DadOfArmyPV2
