I have been inspired by Kimandkathess and am joining the savingsfest! I am going to attempt to plunk away $500 in the month of August. This will be put toward an emergency fund.
This will be tough since my DH has been out of work for 6 weeks and we have not rec'd a TDI check yet, but I am going to try my best to generate $500 and I will bring you along for the ride!! :hamster2:
I am starting with an initial $20 put aside from my paycheck on August 1.
8/4/08- I tutor on Mondays and most of this has been going to groceries and spending money, but I have managed to wrangle $30 for the fund... fund total: $50.00

) and a small freezer. At $3 per pound for any and all cuts, how could I say "no" to safe, hormone free, humanely treated beef? I'm thinking the steer meat will cost $600-$750 depending on how big the steer is (usually a whole one is 800-1000 lbs!!) and I plan on buying a small, pre-owned upright freezer from Craigslist for no more than $100. I have about $250...
