I have tried to keep up with spending like coupons used, money for coupons and rebates and postage used. Just too many totals for in and out expenses,,,,nope - not this year. Just gonna keep writing in here what I cashed/deposited. Still gonna buy myself a nice convertible car this summer (kids are grown and retirement should be some fun b4 the grand kids get here) - might use some of it for the car, buy my spouse something or take a big trip.

Got to save the money before I can do anything.

I don't need to add to the stockpile, so I shouldn't need it for groceries this year. My freezers are full - I have a processed deer coming - so I don't need to stockpile much of anything except for meat/produce and vitamins.

So I cashed some checks after 2pm so technically this is 2012 money.

Sick of coupons and sick of mirs. I have been trading a lot ,,,,mostly outgoing trades. It takes up way too much time for the payout.
Should have worked it better by searching for trades and not just doing auctions and lists,,,,but live and learn
:wavehi:
Ok, I just come off a big month of mirs and I really hate them. REally hate them, lots of work, I have arthritis and the matching up of crts and filling them out is a REAL pain.:giggle2:

I just feel like I am spinning my wheels when I am online lately.
Both with coupons and mirs - I trade for it and then I find it. Now this only has happened a few times since 07 but they have been recently!:dontknow1:
My area isn't known for finding mirs so it was a nice surprise but a waste for me.

Since I became ill (years ago) my pet peeve is wasting time. Yeah, I wasted lots of money by trading and then finding them, but time can't be replaced.
Plus my health issues cropped up again so I missed out on lots of mirs by missing deadlines.
I mis-read the mirs as pm date instead of recd by date . My safeguard system was to list the mir 3 different ways in my binder - which is pm by date, recd by date and then I file them by due date..... non of that helps when I read it wrong all 3 times,,,,Dang eyes!:giggle2:

Had already quit being a mod because of my health,,,,,,,,,,,,so I will try my newest hair brained idea.

Ready for a Fall break

I don't need to trade for q's - I have most of everything there is since my stockpile is gigantic
,,,as far as meat - my freezers are full from the summer rebates. Yeah, it's pizza mir time and I could use more, I can always use meat - especially ground and I will run out fast, but I don't want to be online trading for coupons or rebates.
Never find meat wine tags anyway.
I buy my produce at a local stand that sells bread and milk - so no q's.
I have a lot of gc at wags and can buy my milk and bread there if I need to.

So:
sept and oct are slowwwwwwww times for mirs. Plus I need a vacation so bad!

My goal is to get all my Aug mirs out the first week of sept.

Yep, will make a list and try to trade for what I can in a day - to finish up for August and see if I can find anything for Sept and trade early,,,or I will have to be online Oct 1st hunting mirs:rolleyes24:.

My payoff:
Take off the rest of Sept (05) and Oct.
No trading, not surfing, no hunting for deals.
Working on a fall garden, getting some clutter out and getting the house clean for the upcoming holiday parties.
Main thing is to have my freezers cleaned out for the Winter meat, veggie and seafood sales.

I am so excited to do this and when I come back in Nov I will still have time to trade for the Oct mirs.

Not really missing out on anything except chasing deals - on stuff I don't need and don't want to take the time to buy to donate.

I want to be selfish again and work on us my immediate family !!!!!!!!!!!!

Mirs
- do what I can
and as far as trading for Sept and the beginning of the month

CRTs
hunt what I can at my spots - if not - no hunting means I want have the crts to do my rebates for Sept/Oct:giggle2:

Couponing hunting
Been having a conflict of peelie picken - yeah my thoughts have been - if I don't take some now - they won't be here - SO true,,,never took a whole tearpad - so that's not my worry
,,,,I read someones blog where they claimed it was stealing,,,,that got me to wondering,,,,so I am pondering my picking decisions

All in all - trying to stay offline as much as possible

Got a contingency plan:
So - if I get board - I will restart my contacting companies again,,,,,just trying not to trade and spend the time it takes to completes trades or research deals.
If I need to contact companies I will limit to 1 hr a week,,,,,it takes that to contact 25 companies....but only if I have to do that.
Plus If I do that - I will have coupons when I restart in Nov. Need to get candy coupons for the end of Oct,,,I am sure.:whistle67:
Wish me luck!

9/23
update: have stayed off line bunches but not as much as I wanted. Been getting texts for coupons and mirs - so been online finalizing those trades.
Missed the date on my $25.00 rebate,,,,but think I salvaged it with a late po metered postage run. Lets hope.

10/31 update
Didn't take off as much as we wanted, but did the best we could. Woo hoo, the $25 rebates are coming in. That helps my mood.
My lost trade showed up as a retd to sender. The secret pal's post office refused it for too much tape and postage because of the tape:rolleyes24:.
So that's good that I didn't need to replace the gc.
As far being on line. We have been online way to much for Oct. Feel bad health wise so I think I am taking that break we missed in Oct. I just hate to miss the rebates.
Nov, Dec and Jan are prime rebate times. Most of our mir money comes from these next few months.
It's getting so competitive we can't find them on the board. Ebay is going as high as 40%.
We are slowing down for Nov so we may have to pay that ebay 25/40 % price for some :dontknow1:. Just for the convenience.
Gotta see what can be reduced/cut out time wise.

Semi rant:
why do some stores decide to make a rule just for me. To try and make me quit. We nearly did this week - quit on our first shop of the day.
Then I thought about it
#1 We drove 45 minutes to get there
#2 We waited on my 2nd favorite cashier for an hour to check me out (she was on lunch)
#3 they decided I COULD NOT USE EXPIREDS, yeah anyone else still can,,,Really makes me mad when they do this and this store does it all the time!
#4 gave the cashier most of my expired chef boyardee lu# store q's (kept enough for this transaction b4 it went bust)
#5 I hate wasting my traded for coupons! Would be a total waste of money if I don't use any of what I have left.

Decision:
Go down the road to a former meanie store that has been converted to a nice store.
LOL
I paid 2.74 for 26 chefboyardee's and 6 snack pack pudding 4 packs. Had some mentos single rolls for overage. Was well worth the extra 15 min drive. The assistant manager answered the phone (- decided to call before I drove) - his response "of course we take our own expired store coupons"
Gotta love it.

Moral of this story - don't let them pee in your cornflakes.
Persevere.
If this thing we do was easy - then everyone would be doing It. Got to remember that on days like this.:wink7:

Paying for coupons and mirs:

We use big crumbs to get a paypal credit. Then I buy my mirs and coupons from hcw and ebay.
Most of the time ebay is cheaper.

We buy coupons on auctions for .99 and .99 shipping and free additional shipping on coupons paid for together/ shipped together. Or I do the 1.99 and free shipping with .10 additional auction wins.
20 $1 qs for $2 - that is the same as 20% on here, but I have to pay postage. Then my other shopping with that seller was free - not on here.

Much cheaper than the 10% which is standard now.
I do win coupons off the hcw auctions too.

Also I use to sell trade coupons. Haven't in a few months. Too much hassle - had 2 trades that were misdirected - no fault of mine and they eventually showed up - but a hassle for me to replace. So I am on break from being a trader of q's - just a trader getting q's:wink7:.

So my Feb bigcrumb deposit was 80.xx and my March payment will be 20.xx. Still have $30 of that left.

I also use bigcrumbs to buy stuff online like ebay (proactiv, car parts, lawn mower parts), walmart, kmart target, old navy, roamans, just my size, jessica london and woman within.

Bought nearly everything for xmas from the internet even bought us a few things too like a plasma and a treadmill.

1 small can of jalapenos. I used a large wm can,,,,had carrots so I picked them out. Didn't show them on the label though

***********
Remember to adjust quantities for your poundage. I used a 9.75 pounder and tripled the recipe,,,,,, except for water - my crock wouldn't hold another drop of anything.
My pot is the hamilton to go with the oval removeable crock. Huge one.
place meat in crock
