Hi, thickbluebug here.
In this blog we will chart our journey of the deals we are chasing and the rebates we are hunting.
Tossing in some daily thoughts and tips.
Of course there will be drama too. We are couponers and someone is always trying to pee in the cornflakes - so drama is a given. Deal jealous fools trying to spoil the fun.

This is not how my mom makes soup, or my inlaws make soup.
It's a combination of pantry stockpile and kitchen sink soup.

Stockpile vegie soup

2 bags frozen mixed vegies (corn, peas, carrots, green beans) publix steamers stockpile far
1/2 bag baby fork hook limas (publix gg boil in bag stockpile far)
1 can tomato sauce (glen muir stockpile fa q)
1 can diced tomatoes (glen muir stockpile fa q)
1 tbs tomato paste (tester from a test trial)
1 bottle clamato juice (free after rebate stockpile)
1 bag morning star crumbles (stockpile sale from target last yr)
2 large bay leaves or 4 smalls
1 tbsp sea salt/kosher salt
1 tbsp pepper

bring to boil
reduce heat and simmer 2 hrs

remove bay leaves
add 8 potatoes quartered (pantry)
add 1 tbsp salt
bring to boil,
reduce & simmer, cook 30 minutes

add 1/2 box of noodles...prefer elbow
simmer 20 minutes ( free after pasta wt stockpile)

This soup is best the following day. Sometimes I add cabbage to the beginning pot
