I'm trying to install this into my head. All of this is to me, for my information.....and for whoever else who wants to know my inner thoughts. :giggle2:

Although it is nice to have a really low oop tally, sometimes it is not always possible to come away with $100 worth of groceries for $2. Sure, with planning and the right coupons and sales, I've done that many times before. But, just because my tally isn't $2 everytime doesn't mean I am failing at couponing, I have to remember that I AM saving money each time!

Sometimes I do have to pay for something when we want it. I don't have a freezer to store the kinds of things we eat regularly, so stocking up on a $7.99 pizza when I can get it for $3 or $4 just isn't possible for us; when we want a $7.99 pizza we have to buy it at that price. And just because we have a 6 months supply of spagetti or soup doesn't mean we want to eat it every night until we can get the $7.99 pizza for $3. So yeah, I paid $7.99 for a stupid pizza and nearly $5 for 2 boxes of saltines. Get over it Kelly! :hectic1:

Look on the brightside...I did accidently get free Lance Crackers. :BigHand:

This is good to know!

Coffee filters ..who knew! And you can buy 1,000 at the Dollar Tree for almost nothing. COFFEE FILTERS: Not just for making coffee....

1. Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave. Coffee filters make excellent covers.

2. Clean windows and mirrors. Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.

3. Protect China . Separate your good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each dish.

4. Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.

5. Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.

6. Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.

7. Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.

8. Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.

9. Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.

10. Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent the soil from going through the drainage holes.

11. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.

12. Put a few on a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them. Soaks out all the grease.

13. Share a bag of popcorn with someone, use the filters for bowls.

i hate walmart. i try not to go there but when a deal is a deal, it is hard to pass up! plus we had gift cards, so figured might as well put them to use. excuse my grammer and punctuation, it is 210am and i'm tired.

walmart

2 bags iams dog food = free
1 cotton balls = .97
1 tylenol cold warming liquid = 5.37! (only until i got home did i find my coupon for this!)
1 mesh headbands = 2.22
2 whitecloud tp = 2.

would have been even less out of pocket if she had put through the lash curler coupon, and i think one of the $2 off the Kys was not run through. so, should have been around $10 less if everything would have gone through. our walmart really sucks on sales. their after christmas sale was complete crap. a couple of years ago, me/mom visited my sister in panama city beach, fl during christmas time. the day after christmas, we went to walmart and got some incredible deals, i mean for pennies on some things! i guess things have changed on walmart sales or mine just doesn't do that, because everything was still so expensive! come on, who is going to pay $5 for a stocking after christmas? :rolleyes24:

I can't believe I spent so much money today! It has been forever since I bought myself the things I bought though, at least a year or more. I had to break down and get some of this stuff, the rest was just for fun. :whistle67:

I also made a stop at Big Lots...although no coupons, still got some stuff...figured I'd add this to my days shopping spree. :wink7:

curling iron: $5 (was priced at $8, woohoo!)
Revlon 4 palette eyeshadow $2 (suppose to be $1 but I didn't make a fuss because I had 20 people behind me, oh well.)
blush brush: $2
huge powder puff: $1
got2b face scrub: $2
Almay face wash: $2.80 (best face wash I've ever used, I'm going back and get the rest!)
La Cross Swivel Toenail clippers:$1.30 (very cool!)
Total: 24.18 after $1.58 of tax

Publix (after coupon amount):
6 Birds Eye Voila! $9.10 (she didn't subtract one of the $1/1 coupons, even though me and the bagger both told her I had gotten 6! Unfortunately she screwed up my coupon order so I wasn't sure which coupons she was scanning since I could see.) Ugh!

14 Betty Crocker Potatoes $2
2 I Can't Believe Butters .49
2 Tombstone Pizza $5.58
1 Domino Sugar 5 lb $1.70 (suppose to be free but she rung it wrong, oh well...)

Walgreens, way overspent!
foundation/concealer brush: $9.99 (I've been wanting one of these for a long time)

Maybelline Blush: $2.79 no coupon used

Almay Lip Stick: $2.29 - $1/1 = $1.29

1 Coca Cola 20oz
1 Nestea 20oz
3 Pictsweet frozen veggies bags
1 Duracell 8 pack AA batteries
1 Electrasol Tabs
1 Activa yogurt
1 Pillsbury cake mix
1 Glad trashbags
1 Country Crock butter
12 Mighty Dog Food Cans

= 4.28 ( 2.38 of that was tax!)

Husband went to Ingles the other night, had some free coupons for cans of Mighty Dog and some Tyson Chicken Fries, but the cashier did not ring them up right and he paid for them when he should have gotten them free. He didn't even notice until he got home and I looked at the receipt and told him. Oh well.

We have to go to another town just to get darn gas! How crazy is that! Spiking at over $4.00 a gallon, Georgia is currently the highest priced in the Southeast, nearing that of California! All of the gas stations around us are completely out of gas!

Crazy week!
