I'm trying to install this into my head. All of this is to me, for my information.....and for whoever else who wants to know my inner thoughts.
Although it is nice to have a really low oop tally, sometimes it is not always possible to come away with $100 worth of groceries for $2. Sure, with planning and the right coupons and sales, I've done that many times before. But, just because my tally isn't $2 everytime doesn't mean I am failing at couponing, I have to remember that I AM saving money each time!
Sometimes I do have to pay for something when we want it. I don't have a freezer to store the kinds of things we eat regularly, so stocking up on a $7.99 pizza when I can get it for $3 or $4 just isn't possible for us; when we want a $7.99 pizza we have to buy it at that price. And just because we have a 6 months supply of spagetti or soup doesn't mean we want to eat it every night until we can get the $7.99 pizza for $3. So yeah, I paid $7.99 for a stupid pizza and nearly $5 for 2 boxes of saltines. Get over it Kelly!
Look on the brightside...I did accidently get free Lance Crackers.

| | lol, I know how you feel. It's like a thorn in my side every time I have to buy biotene tooth paste! GRRRR I pay 8.99 for toothpaste. Nearly everyone on this site gets free toothpaste. I really know how you feel when you have to pay for something that most people get for nothing. You still did great |

| | Great job!!! I'll tell you, I've been couponing since 2/09 and already I find that I have a difficult time when I have to pay full price for things at the grocery store..It's always, "Is it on sale, do I have a coupon for it"? The reality is that getting all these great deals can become addictive and like you've done, we have to remind ourselves that every shopping trip is not going to be that fantastic "perfect storm" trip. We are still doing great jobs and getting great deals most of the time :-) |

| | It's nice to know I'm not alone. DH often looks at me a little funny when I complain about paying full price for something. I just hate the idea of spending more money that I know I would have to if there was a sale or if I had a coupon (or both) LOL |
