Getting closer to my goal of $50/wk grocery budget

It is coming along finally. Once I get my big freezer downstairs, I will really be able to do this. I had a few trips to CVS and one trip to the grocery store this week and I only spent $67. In there was a Reynolds Handi-Vac which I am going to give a try. It was only $8.99 minus $2.50 mfg coupon and there is a rebate if I can get it, I'll send it in. So we'll give it a try for a few bucks. I didn't have to buy any meat this week as my freezer is chuck full. And of course, it helps that we are going to two Thanksgiving dinners one on Thursday, one on Friday, so I don't need to cook those days. I am bringing wine on Thursday and on Friday just celery sticks, carrot sticks, olives and the cranberry sauce. So I got off easy!
Plan on going out early Thanksgiving morning to hit CVS and do some Christmas shopping with my ECB. I wasn't CVSing last year so this should be interesting!
