Haven't CVS'd since 12/24. I am having withdrawals! lol But I got sick and then SO got sick and the kids had a touch of it too. And then we got the arctic air yesterday so I didn't even leave the house.

I used up all my ECB for Christmas presents and a few essentials.

Also went to Wal-mart on 12/31 and used up a lot of my expiring coupons. So I won't need snacks for a good few months (or so I hope).

It is coming along finally. Once I get my big freezer downstairs, I will really be able to do this. I had a few trips to CVS and one trip to the grocery store this week and I only spent $67. In there was a Reynolds Handi-Vac which I am going to give a try. It was only $8.99 minus $2.50 mfg coupon and there is a rebate if I can get it, I'll send it in. I tend to focus on the negative. I'm trying to change that. I have made a lot of stupid decisions in my life but all in all I have been very lucky. Some days I marvel that I am still here.

I wanted to post about what I am most thankful for this season-my children. They drive me nuts. God knows! But they are great kids and when I read about other kids getting in trouble or kids with severe health issues, I know I am very lucky.

I haven't interviewed in about 4 years. It was only for a part-time gig at Kiddie Kandids. I just can't find anything good ft in my area right now that meets my needs. There's hardly anything to even look at and what there is out there is either further away then what I need or the pay is crap or they want some technical background that I don't have. So I figured for now, I'll get something a few hours a week to get me out of the house and make a little $ for Christmas if nothing else.

And what have I accomplished?
My goals were to be back at work (even if it was just part-time) and get down to 189 lbs.
Neither has happened. I could still hit the 189 by Sunday. If I really crack down.

Every day, I write in my calendar a to-do list. I could easily write down 100 things some days. But then I get distracted. Sometimes I think I'm just hiding out on here. Today I need to call my daughters' GI and see if I can get some test results for the older one...
