Week of 1/31 shopping

A new month, so I'm starting back over with keeping track of my spending. I had hoped to get a little more shopping done on the weekend, but we had an ice/snow storm that hit and so I was stuck at home. But I am pleased with my January totals: I bought $748.68 worth of food, health & beauty, and household items but spent only $233.88 thanks to coupons, sales, and rebate/contest money received.
Anyway, this was from Tuesday 2/2:
Food Lion
2liter 7Up $1.33
5 Pringles at 3 for $5 ($1.99 or $1.98 each) MVP
Original total: $11.39
MVP discounts: $1.60 off for Pringles ($.32 off each)
Big Game text promo discounts: Free 7Up, $.40 off each Pringles (did not work right! The text says it will take off $.40 each up to 5 cans of Pringles, but my receipt shows that it only took off for 4 cans)
Total paid: $6.86
Walgreens:
3 Three Muskateers Truffle Crisp bars $.69 each SALE
Total paid: $2.16
Received $1 RR
Would have cost $2.55 before sales
I didn't know about this deal, but the cashier told me about it. Since she's my favorite cashier (she uses coupons too) and I know she gets something extra for selling these special items at the register, I was happy to buy them from her.
Then I bought:
4 Easy Mac $1 each SALE
Original total: $4.08 ($4.84 before sales)
Coupons: 2 $1 RR
Total paid: $2.08
Wanted 5 Easy Macs for a rebate, but this was what they had so I'll have to check back later.
February totals:
Merchandise total: $18.78
Total paid: $11.10
Minus rebates received since 2/1/10: $0
Adjusted total spent: $11.10

Coupons: $1.50 off Blink
Total paid: $8.13
Received $8 RR for Blink
Rite Aid
Viactiv chews $5.99 SALE
2 Nature's Bounty Garlic $6.49 BOGO SALE
Colgate Total Advanced $2.99 SALE
Original total: $16.67 ($23.16 before sales)
Coupons: 2 $5 off Nature's bounty, $1 off Colgate
Total paid: $5.67
I printed out the VV coupons for the Nature's Bounty. And then...I left without them. Grr! I didn't realize it until I was at the store so I said forget it and just got vitamins that were cheaper than what I had originally planned to get. I mean, it's still not a bad transaction. I use Viactiv regularly, so I always look for a deal on them and getting all this for less than the regular price of the Viactiv makes me happy.
I'll get back $2 SCR for the Colgate and that's another $12.48 added to the healthy heart rebate total. I've reached the $25 level and qualify for the $10 gift card with this transaction. Hopefully there will be enough good deals before the end of March to get me to the $50 level for the $25 card.
I got 2 $5 checks from contest wins yesterday.
February totals:
Merchandise total: $94.35
Total paid: $31.50
Minus rebates/contest wins received since 2/1/10: $15
Adjusted total spent: $16.50Posted 02-05-2010 at 02:07:19 PM by shabba0819

angtuk - I'm not sure. I was able to print six of the $5 coupons. If it's not letting you print anymore, I think the only way to get more would be to use a different computer.Posted 02-08-2010 at 10:19:37 AM by shabba0819
