My kids think I'm nuts

Posted 05-17-2009 at 05:23:02 AM by scooby8themall

I have been using coupons for 1 year now and it has helped with the stock piling , I love having 5 of those and 10 of these so that when I have used the last of some thing I just go the closet and pull another one out .Also with food and HBA prices coupons really put a dent in the bill.
Okay now here is where my grown kids come into the picture they all feel the need to live beyond their means which means they have cars they can not afford and other high bills they can not pay and half the time they have no money for grocery's.
Yes you guess it they call me for food & HBA I tried to tell them get the week end paper and use one coupon a week to stock pile some thing they all have told me their cell phones and cars and net flix comes first lol .
Not for me my saving money and and knowing that if some thing should happen I have a lot of extra to see me through, I know they believe I'm crazy because who in their mind would keep 30 bottles of dish detergent that would be me :smile77:. And I either got free or 1.00 off .
I look for every possible way to save money and I love knowing I have my basees covered.
So I'll let think I'm nuts just keep those coupons coming in .

My oldest DD is finally understanding why I do what I do in regards to watching for sales and using coupons. She doesn't have a lot, but she is starting to appreciate what I have to offer and is slowly starting to work on couponing herself. :)
