Look what I got today!!!

Yippee.. 1163 square feet (not counting the full basement with another 1163 square feet!)
of brand new house!!!

There's still work to be done, but we are making more progress!!! The crew will be back tomorrow morning - I can't wait to see what they do tomorrow!!!

We have a basement!! They poured the walls earlier this week and then yesterday they poured the floor. The builder still has to build the wooden wall on the back side where the walkout door will be and get this, he has to have that part done this week because

THE HOUSE SHOULD BE SET ON THURSDAY, the 10th!! They will be bringing it in on big trucks and we'll have a huge crane truck here to lift the 2 pieces together and onto the foundation. My boys are going to be in complete...

We had our closing today!! yippee!!

Since we are living in an existing house on the land that the new house will be going on, federal law says that the bank has to give us a 3 day Right of Rescission. Basically it's a protection thing for us, because it gives us 3 days to change our mind and rescind our decision.

We know that we're not going to change our minds, so it's definitely happening.

My next thing on the checklist is to see if the builder can give...

So I spoke to our attorney this morning and I'm ready to pull my hair out. ARGH!!!

in 1953, my grandparents purchased a large lot of land, 56 acres or thereabouts. There's about 5 acres on one side of the road and the rest is all on the other.
