Well, the electric company holds the card on when we get to move in....

The digger truck will be here on Friday to install a pole on the edge of our front lawn and a pole across the street from us too. Then we'll be finalized on the schedule for them to come and swap the wires out and run them underground to the house. Right now we're penciled in for Thursday, September 4th. Hopefully we'll be penned in sooner, but with Labor Day in there, I'm doubtful they'll move us up.

Here's the progress made since the other day:

All of the wooden trim has been put up in the entire main floor!!

A man from the modular company showed up today and installed the 5 shelves in the linen closet. He also brought more paint and doorknob parts. Poor guy had to drive 2 hours to get here this morning to work for maybe an hour and a half and then drive back. At least it was a nice day for a drive!! lol

Well, we got a firm date on the digger truck coming to put in the pole. Friday, August 22nd. ARGH, we're still 9 days away, but at least we're on the schedule. Just cross your fingers that there's not a lot more rain storms and damage that tie up the digger crews. Believe me, my fingers are so crossed it's hard to type!!

The painting is all done inside, with the exception of the sheet rock in ds#2's closet which covers up the chimney.

I need to download my pictures but yesterday brought the electrical crew back again.

They needed to redo the meter box. Apparently our electric company (one of 4 in NH) is the only one that uses a special meter that they supply when you request one. But in all the phone calls to them, not once was this mentioned. So while they were here, they hung up 3 of the outside lights, and all the ceiling fixtures inside, ran the power to our boiler, etc.

all is good though - the mason guys were here and finished putting in the chimney. They had worked on it all day yesterday and made it from the floor in the basement right up to the top of the attic, but then the rain came in, so they stopped working for the day.

Our construction crew had 2 days off earlier this week, so progress seems to be crawling. Plus we're waiting for the utility company to get here with a new pole to be put up in the yard. We have...
