We can move in...

well, not really but sort of!! 
They are finished with everything on the main level, with the exception of putting the screens in the windows. Honestly, I don't know what they are waiting for on that
~The carpets are in.....
~all the doors have been put back on the frames.
~The nail holes on all the door frames have been filled in with putty.
~All the trash (empty boxes, etc)has been cleaned up
~Tools are all removed from the rooms
Outside the entire house is sided
Downstairs
~- the furnace is ready to be hooked into the water.
~the basement stairs have been boxed in and the railing installed
STILL TO GO:
~insulation installed on the wooden exterior walls downstairs
~Electricity hookup to the house
~Phone hookup
~Direct Tv hookup
~Final plumbing hookup
~Contractor removing all the trash from basement
DH and I spent part of Saturday and most of Sunday sorting through the furniture we've been storing since his mom passed away in 2004 and my grandmother's furniture that we've been storing since she went into the nursing home 2 years ago. We cleaned and recleaned and polished the furniture and are going to start moving it into the new house this weekend, since it won't be in their way and will be less we'll have to move once we get the Certificate of Occupancy from the town.
Tonight I did another round of cleaning... cleaned all the counter tops and dusted everything (that goes VERY quickly when there's no furniture!) lol and hung up the shower curtain in the bathroom.
I need to take measurements of all the windows tomorrow and make my list for curtain rods and then go pick out curtains.
Everyday is one day closer to us being in there!! yippee!!
