The heat is on....

well, not literally on. lol But most of my news today is furnace/wood stove related.

We heard from the people that came to look at the hot air furnace the other night and they are going to buy it from us. We dropped the price a little more than we wanted to, but we really wanted to get it sold. So yee haw on that!!!

We also had 2 really old stoves down in the basement. We loaded them into the truck this morning and drove them to a guy that restores antique stoves. One of them is a Glenwood Oak, but it was missing the base and not in great shape at all, but he bought it from us to use for parts. The other one he wasn't interested in, as there's no demand at all for that particular style, so we're going to ask my dad if he wants it, either to use or for scrap metal.

Anyways while we were up at the guy's shop we looked around at his (not antique) woodstoves and picked out the one that we want to put in our basement as a back up source in case the power goes out in the winter.

So that was today, as far as this week's progress on the house goes, not much to report since the building crew only showed up one day.

~DS#2's closet has been sanded and painted.
~Whole house has been vaccuumed in preparation for the carpeting dude to be here on Monday.
~Attic doorway has been installed.
~Only one more strip of siding to go on the rear of the house and the entire house will be sided.
~Our stairs came in for the front door, BUT we ordered a 3 step set but they came in as a 4 step, which is too tall, so we're on hold with that still.
~Oh, and dh picked up our new refrigerator Friday afternoon and we got that inside last night.
