We have a tentative move in date!!!

Well, the electric company holds the card on when we get to move in....
The digger truck will be here on Friday to install a pole on the edge of our front lawn and a pole across the street from us too. Then we'll be finalized on the schedule for them to come and swap the wires out and run them underground to the house. Right now we're penciled in for Thursday, September 4th. Hopefully we'll be penned in sooner, but with Labor Day in there, I'm doubtful they'll move us up.
So once the new house is powered, we can hook up the water, which right now is powered to the old house, which is why that's pretty much the last thing that they'll do. And then we'll be able to get the final inspection from the building inspector and the final inspection from the bank and then we can give the builder his last payment and be able to move in.
No one's been here working so far this week, but the guy will be here on Friday to finish up everything on the main floor so that the carpet installer can show up on Monday.
Tonight we had a couple here looking at the hot air furnace that we put on craigslist. They need to go home and measure to see if it will fit in their basement. Cross your fingers that they want it because we'd love to have it sell quickly. We went with a hot water system for the house which will be cleaner so we have no use for this furnace which is only 3 years old.
