9 days out

Posted 08-13-2008 at 06:31:46 PM by sbp

Well, we got a firm date on the digger truck coming to put in the pole. Friday, August 22nd. ARGH, we're still 9 days away, but at least we're on the schedule. Just cross your fingers that there's not a lot more rain storms and damage that tie up the digger crews. Believe me, my fingers are so crossed it's hard to type!!

The painting is all done inside, with the exception of the sheet rock in ds#2's closet which covers up the chimney.

All the interior doors are up now and all except one has the doorknob installed. lol The mopboards are all finished now.

So here's my update on what still needs doing:

Main Floor:
~Paint ds#2's bedroom closet and put up closet rod
~Doorknob installed on master bedroom.
~Shelves installed in linen closet
~Door trim put up around 2 exterior doors
~Wood trim put up around the walkthrough from living room to dining room.
~carpets put down
~Attic hatch put on
~Install screens on all windows

Basement and Outside:
~Oil tank installed and fill pipes put through outside wall
~Gas line run for dryer and stove
~Insulation and sheetrock on the walkout side of the basement
~A little bit more siding on the back side of house
~Outdoor light put on outside basement doors
~Fix the shingles on the roof from when the protective spacer fell off while the house was being set on the foundation. The spacer thing is what they put between the house and the cable when they are crane-ing the house up. The shingle and a small piece of wood (i think it's wood! ? !) got smooshed when the spacer fell out- just a minor thing.

~Electrical hookup from pole
~Water hookup

Other contractors:
~Build Deck on sliding doors
~Install seamless gutters

Picture time:
