laptop!?! Doesn't quite sound right, does it?
Am I the only one that automatically thinks 'gosh, did I forget to pay that electric bill?' when the lights go out and it's not even stormy? BTW, I doublechecked and I had paid the bill
So we put the kids to bed and dh and I were sitting on the couch talking about our day when the lights flickered and then they went out. The boys started to freak out because they HATE power outages, so dh went back up to lay down with them until they fell asleep.
We were all up at 5:30 this morning because we had to drive dh to work for 6 since his truck was at the mechanic's getting a new starter installed, so they were beat down dog tired. They were asleep within just a few minutes. lol the boys, I mean, not DH.
So here I am sitting in the dark living room, with the only light coming from my laptop screen.
DH just came in from the deck and he can see a utility truck down on the corner, bucket high up in the air, so hopefully we'll have lights again soon.

| |  no, growing up the only time the power went out was when my mom couldn't pay the power bill. So now that is automatically my first assumption (even though they usually come put a note on your door letting you know they are gonna cut it off). How were you still on the internet with no power? |

| | my laptop's battery was full power and we have dial up here so even though I couldn't clip coupons or anything at least I wasn't completely cut off from the world. |
