the barn is just a mere memory now

Like all little boys, my boys LOVE construction vehicles. The bigger the machinery, the more their eyes light up with pure joy.
This morning, I can definitely appreciate their excitement!
This past weekend, dh and I spent at least 15-18 hours taking down the back section of the remaining part of the barn by hand before finally coming to the conclusion that if we wanted the other 2 sections down anytime before 2020 that we needed to have some machinery helping us out.
At 9:15 this morning, a dump truck hauling an excavator on a flat bed trailer pulled into our yard.
It is now 10:40 and with only one more dump truck load of lumber, the last 2 sections of the barn will be a mere memory and exist only in pictures.
YEE HAW!!!!!
He'll still be here for a little while working since he's going to have to dig up the concrete floor too, but he is making some serious progress today.
Steven is going to be bummed when he gets home at 3:30 and the barn is down and the machinery is gone!! Trevor might see a little of it, since he's only at school this morning. I can hear Steven now 'It's not fair that Trevor got to see the excavator!'

| | My Liam loves construction equipment too. Parker not so much. Right now they are replacing a fire hydrant in front of my house and Liam is parked at the screen door in a little rocking chair watching them. I even parked my van down the street a bit so he could have a better view. He loves the diggers and tractors. Heck he gets excited over the trash truck! He is our little "tough guy" and loves tools, fixing things, daddy's motorcycle and truck, and watching NASCAR (sigh). |
