Posted 02-13-2008 at 04:09:24 PM by saving4earlyretirement (tracking my savings to an early retirement)

So work and illness have been getting in my way of blogging about my shopping experiences and the savings.

I have been taking advantage of some of the sales, usually just getting what's on sale that I have coupons for or what's a bargain.

I've been getting my samples, coupon train and some RAOKs in the mail, received a refund and some refusal of refunds because of being incomplete. Of course, I didn't thing of making copies of what I sent. I was too excited that I was...

Desperately seaching for SoyJoy at CVS, choo choo, and limited shopping next week.

Posted 01-25-2008 at 12:45:47 PM by saving4earlyretirement (tracking my savings to an early retirement)

I made a trip to a different CVS yesterday and again, no Soyjoy Bars. One more CVS to try, then I'm out of luck. Otherwise, it'll be using the free coupons somewhere else. At least it will be free! I tried the strawberry one I got about a week or so ago and liked it.

I received my 2nd envie from the coupon train yesterday - AWESOME - once again, almost every single one of the coupons were from my wish list! I feel guilty for not sending more from people's wish lists, but I just...

Wegmans and freebies in the mail

Posted 01-23-2008 at 02:53:43 PM by saving4earlyretirement (tracking my savings to an early retirement)

Yesterday, I stopped at Wegmans to stock up on Colgate Total - 1.99 each plus I had three coupons (2 75cent coupons and 1 $1 off coupon). Plus, they had a $1 off a $4 purchase.

Also hit the dog treat aisle and used up all of my $ off one coupons along with a free coupon.

Ended up saving about $18.

The cashier was amazed at all of the coupons that I had and how much I saved. I don't think a lot of the grocery stores around here see the use of a lot of coupons....

Petsmart trip, Entertainment book and SOLD!

Posted 01-21-2008 at 12:22:59 PM by saving4earlyretirement (tracking my savings to an early retirement)

Visted Petsmart today with the pup. Got a couple of good deals on Busy Bones - Pet Rewards 2/$5 and then I had coupons for $1 off each.

Picked up a Christmas rope toy that was 75% off - for like $1.75.

Had lunch at Roy Rogers and used a free combo coupon - saved $7.09!

Sold another CD! Woohoo! I still have a bunch to post for sale.
