(We have a 3rd bedroom that is EMPTY and a garage we dont even park in that barely has anything in it!) That is just a waste of $money$! We are hoping to move by August across town into a 2BR 1.5 bath where we will be paying $550 a month and they pay water/trash! It just doesnt make sense to pay for unused space, and if we are cutting corners on everything else then this place needs to go, too! (That is almost $400 a month we will be saving between rent difference and water/trash bill!) I think thats an EXCELLENT decision! Also, when we decided on a 2BR we talked about when we give up the 3rd bedroom, were also somewhat giving up having another baby anytime soon. (I was so determined to have another baby when we moved here hence getting the extra bedroom, but we realize (now) we would like to have our own house first.) I plan to use the rent savings on saving a down payment for a home and maybe within the next couple years we can purchase our first home together! So, last weekend we spent time looking for a new car. I was *really* hesitant and nervous about this. Like I mentioned we have been car payment free for SO long, about 4 years! It took almost 2 days for us to look around and finally decide! We ended up buying what we wanted to begin with! :wink7: We bought a 2003 PT Cruiser Limited Edition (low mileage!)! :BigHand:Its fully-loaded with a sunroof and all the "works", including heated seats and MP3 plugins! Our car payment is only $219.00 a month, paid off within 36 months @ 11.9%. We dont have PERFECT credit, so I was thinking our payments would be about $300+ a month no matter what car we got. We also got financed through the first bank we tried! :biggrin: I was kinda surprised there, super thankful! No buy-here-pay-here stress like all of the years before! :BigHand::giggle2:I'll post pictures as soon as I can this has always been my "dream car"! If anyone would like to see! We've already planned when we pay the car payment that we will send it $250 each month to help pay it off a little sooner, then send $275-$300 when we can REALLY spare to do that. We havent had one in almost 4 years! DHs car only had 6 months left when we got married (almost 5 years ago!) and my car I just recently bought for hardly anything. It isnt brand new, but it got me where I needed to go ..... CVS! haha :giggle2: J/K! So, the problem a couple weeks ago was the rear Wheel Bearing and the back Brakes, now it is the Master Cylanoid (or Cylinder?!) :shrug7:I dont know what its called, but I know that isnt a cheap repair! Anyways, I could sell it as is and *maybe* get a few thousand out of it, or trade it in and get a thousand. I guess it depends on whether I want the headache of trying to sell it or not! So, if I get a "new" car (most likely about a 2002 or 2004) I would *really* love to have a PT Cruiser! :smile: Ive wanted one forever! And I told DH if I have to have a car payment and get rid of my paid car, let me pick out one I WANT to pay for! So, the option is mine! Im just uncertain on the trunk room in PT Cruisers, thats all!
