I guess I never did post another update and left everyone hanging. It got really rough and hairy there for some time. We managed to get a few days past Feb. 17 in the hotel, the mgr was so very gracious in that respect.

We eventually did get moved into our house. It took till the middle of April 2008 for that to happen and a very long uphill battle to get there. But we're here.

Since then, we've dealt w/MRSA (twice in TJ and once in baby Eli), TJ injuring his back...

WE'RE IN!!!

What a week. The building inspector man was here last Tuesday and gave us the go ahead to move on in.

We've got the man building the deck this week off the sliding glass door and the gutter man called tonight to say he was going to be here tomorrow, but with the deckman in the way, he's going to postpone gutter work until I call him.

Still no phone or television here... For $7.97 at Walmart today, a 50 foot phone cord attached to another cord...

Today the mailman brought me:

A coupon for Chicken of the Sea tuna fish from Chicken of the Sea as a birthday present to me. Just $0.25 off but hey I'll take it.

Apparently I also got someone elses birthday greeting from Chicken of the Sea, but being a good samaritan I will toss it back in the mailbox so the mail people can deliver it to the right person.

It is so humid here that it can be hard to breath outside at times.

Thankfully a "cold front" is to come through tomorrow and cool things off a bit. Down to the low 80's. Sad but that sounds great.
