I will say I have never purchased so much gum and candy before, my kids are ecstatic between Kroger and CVS I got about 4 candy bars and 3 packs of gum last week. I now understand what you mean by filler… I had to buy the gum and candy to keep the store from owing me money WoooHooo

purchase colgate 99 cents, 1 aquafresh toothpaste 99 cents each, kotex liners clearance 75 cents. Used 1.00 off man. coupon, 2/ 75 cents off coupon on aquafresh and 75 cents off coupon on kotex liners. Total out of pocket cost 79 cents. I was so happy. 4 items just for 79 cents tax included. The cashier said what a deal. She kept reading the coupons. I told her I have two boys to raise, need to save every dime.

I have a new challenge! I have now set my sights on saving for a 1/4 of a cow (to freeze, not raise as a 1/4 of a pet) and a small freezer. At $3 per pound for any and all cuts, how could I say "no" to safe, hormone free, humanely treated beef? I'm thinking the steer meat will cost $600-$750 depending on how big the steer is (usually a whole one is 800-1000 lbs!!) and I plan on buying a small, pre-owned upright freezer from Craigslist for no more than $100.
