I can't believe how much I don't know about coupons. I've used them my whole life. My mother used them, my whole family uses them. Yet I STILL don't know anything about them. Thought I did, but I'm finding out I'm wrong. It's exciting and very discouraging at the same time.

Yesterday morning, once I was finished with my pt, I decided to walk over to a Rite Aid that's near by the pt office. I had with me an envelope with some coupons that expire soon, so I wanted to see if I could score any good deals. As I was walking up and down the store, I happened upon the aisles with the seasonal decorations. The fall decor was welcoming with its' warm colors and promise of cooler weather to come, the Halloween decorations were whimsical and fun to look at, and the Christmas...

Much reamins the same but much has changed too. Love of reading is still there, passion for couponing is pretty much a thing of past. Don't get me wrong, if I have a coupon I will use it but I won't fret or wring my hands if I am in need of something for which I have no coupon. I have moved on to from 'Saving money at all times and all at all costs' to 'Value my time and update my priorities' and I like inhibitating this state of mind.

I recently celebrated one year of retirement, and I have to say, I am enjoying life! I will admit, it took some time and adjustments, especially with receiving money once a month. For so many years I was paid a salary every two weeks. As a retiree, I receive a monthly annuity. About six years ago, when I became serious about this, I took a retirement course. So I'm practically a prisoner in my own home, due to tendonitis and I am going bonkers! X-rays showed calcification on my right Achilles heel and have been ordered to stay off my foot. Great!
