So, we might have a baby on the way. And even if we don't, we're trying to, lol. Either way I'll know by Friday!

I was wondering about baby items (blankets, specifically). Would it be cheaper for me to make those things, than to buy them?

Obviously, I'm going to take advantage of the fact that I have siblings and friends who will be passing down their baby items to me, but I was thinking of making most of the blankets myself and wondered if it would be cheaper.

Happiness is:

*having my 2 yr. old say, "Can we go to Walgreens today?" and when I said "yes" she squealed with joy!
*finding my kids' favorite cheese and peanut butter crackers on clearance for $1 (16pk) and buying 3! (WAGS)
*buying DH's favorite Chex Mix for .39 (used .60 printable)
*creating a new soup out of a left-over soup so that the night's meal will cost about $1
*cool weather in Katy!!!!
*a free Redbox movie for family...

So I've always been super jealous of all the deals everyone has gotten ever since I joined this site.

Today I looked over my savings and gasped. I totally realized that I'm moving up the ranks and slowly, but surely, becoming "one of you".
