Whats going on?

So much is going on in my life and with the site, I still wish there was a way to see new blog posts on the forum (going to find a way someday I promise!)

Lets see....where to begin.

Shopping: Well I made a trip to Albertsons Sunday and noticed that there was tables, end-caps, and shelving units full of clearance stuff all over the store. I found a few things that I thought were good deals without coupons, as I no longer take all my coupons to the store with me. I picked up some Irish Oatmeal for $2.00 a box (which is supposed to be tasty and better for you in the fiber department that the Quaker stuff I have gobs of), I found a big ol bag of Iams Natural dog food for $8.50 and just happened to have a $8.00 coupon that someone sent me in my purse (I do take my "hotties" with me all the time). Found some Mrs. Dash seasoning for $1.40 and there were $1.00/1 peelies on them so .40 a bottle was pretty good, plus there were some save on meat WYB Mrs Dash tearpads that I had snagged at Smiths last week still in the depths of my purse so I had the butcher wrap me up a few $1.00 packages of hamburger.

In all I spent $12.97 at Albertsons.

I went back Monday night to Albertsons for some free guacamole with printables and learned the reason for all the clearance stuff. Seems that all the Albies in Wyoming were bought by SuperValu. Which made me interested in how that is going to effect my sales. Not to long ago when SuperValu bought out most of the Albertsons (except a few areas) they got rid of our preferred shopping card and with that the sales have really "sucked" for lack of a better word. So now I am wondering if they are going to bring back our Preferred card or not. Right now it looks like our sales are matching back up with the Northwest Region with a big GM sale this week. Although no card yet (so we shall see....)

Tuesday I ran to Smiths for a few items. I picked up 18 jars of Miracle Whip, 4 bags of Nabisco Toasted chips, and 18 bags of Kraft shredded cheese. Total OPP was under $20. Not too bad. I had a Pet Club coupon for $9 which helped bring that down some.

Today I ran over to Sheridan for the afternoon and stopped into the Albertsons over there (shh don't tell my husband!) to see if there were any good tearpads or non SS coupons (not much) and checked out thier clearance stuff too. I found some Huggies baby wash on clearance for $1.24 a bottle and I had in my "hottie" envelope $1.25/1 coupons for Huggies bath & body...so free there plus a penny overage each. And I found some diaper genie refills on clearance for $2.50 which although I personally dislike the diaper genie (my DH calls it the stinky diaper sausage maker) I thought I would attempt to resell them on eBay and make a little profit off them. I'm not a big eBayer but from time to time I might sell or buy something. It all evens out for me in the selling vs. buying. LOL

I plan on hitting the GM sale this weekend or Monday or Tuesday depending on how I am feeling... Sale ends Tuesday so I have time.

Personal life: Well this week has kind of been bad health wise for most of the family... Hannah has a sinus infection and I had to take her to the doctor for some antibiotics and a wonderful invention... this thing that pours water/saline up her nose and cleans out the puss and snot. How fun. Her pediatrician was shocked to see that this was the first time in Hannah's 10 (almost 11) years that she has been to the doctor for being sick. It has just been well child check ups and shots for her thus far. She is my only child I breastfed for the full 1st year, might be something to do with it or could just be the luck of the draw... who knows!

Then Wednesday evening I could not sleep at all a my tooth (back lower left molar) was throbbing badly. I took some Ibuprofen but that did not help. I finally gave up on trying to sleep at about 4:30 Am. All day long my tooth was killing me. I kept taking the ibuprofen but it was doing nothing for me. I rooted around the house for some teething medicine and found some in the bottom of an old diaper bag, that helped a bit but not much. Then as I was laying on the couch watching TV my mouth filled with blood! I ran to the bathroom to spit it out and see what was going on and the bad tooth was bleeding. So I rinsed with salt water and called my dentist. Now I have an appointment already for the oral surgeon on the 26th but I was dying here and asked if they could just get me and and yank the tooth or something right away. No they said sounds like you have an abscess (no duh) so they called me in a prescription for some vicodin and penicillin.

I could not go pick it up because my DH had the car so I tried to get a little rest. I guess after my tooth bled the throbbing stopped a bit and I felt like maybe I could get some sleep. So I zonked on the couch, but was running a fever and had the chills. But I did manage to get a little sleep. DH got home and said the house was like an oven cause I had cranked up the heaters because I was cold. He ran to Walgreen's to get my meds and I took them, took a shower and then he ran BACK out to pick up burger king for dinner. I ate 1/2 a hamburger and a few fries and called it quits. My tooth hurt and I was TIRED. So DH shooed me off to bed to sleep. When I woke up the house was WRECKED, but I was feeling a bitty bit better.

So the past few days I have been taking it easy, taking my meds, and trying to feel better. I did not take my pain meds all day because I wanted to get over to Sheridan and knew I could not drive on the meds. But I got home and took them because the tooth was hurting a bit.

Today I felt pretty OK though and had good conversations with Julie about the steps and plans we want to take with the site this year. There are so many things we want to accomplish to make HCW the greatest board out there. And since we have limited experience with running a website it is all a learning process for us. But so far I think we are doing OK, and we will get to the places we want to go.

Tonight my uncle (my dads youngest brother), paid us a visit. He is a truck driver driving a load of Starbucks (can we say HIJACK!) to Pennsylvania and he was up in Billings MT and called and asked if he could drop by for a visit. We had not seen him since we lived in VA. So on our way back from Sheridan we swung by the Flying J truck stop and picked him up. He got the meet Parker and the Twins, our little "pet shop" and we had pizza, chatted, and played the Wii and just had a nice visit.

Parker had a earache and I gave him some children's Motrin and Dimetapp and if it is still hurting in the morning we will run him to the Dr. (or ER if the Dr is not open this Saturday). Our pediatrician always recommends that we wait and see if Motrin and dimetapp does not stop the pain as most of the time in our kids it is allergies or sinus issues that cause ear pain and not infections. So here is hoping it is just that and not an infection!

Well besides school for the kids, "busy bee" parties for Hannah, tests for Marilyn, and work for Rusty it has been a pretty normal week in the Hive. Goodnight ( or is it morning?)
