So I took a couple of days off from blogging. Actually, I wrote a fairly lengthy one on Saturday, but when I went to preview the post, my computer froze and I lost it all
Anyway, here's the latest . . .
I've decided to set a goal of $900 for the next year. Hmmm... I'm a little apprehensive about this (now a couple of days after making this decision). I'm not going to throw in the towel, but am realizing that this is going to force me to become disciplined with my spending. It's amazing how much you don't realize you're spending (even when couponing). I'm using the journal I got for free w/purchase to keep track of my spending. I think I'll post a weekly update as far as my budget is concerned, because I don't wan't to write everything down twice each day.
We had a great weekend! It's such a blessing that DH has weekends off. After going out to breakfast on Saturday, we were able to get some new pants for DH as well as a couple of other things. Two pairs of work pants, one pair of jeans, and Oregon Ducks Beanie, and a polo shirt all for $30! My turn is next, because I realized today that I don't have ANY shorts, 'cause I was pregnant last summer and must have gotten rid of my other shorts. I do have a few pairs of capris, so that's what I'll be wearing, as the weather is supposed to continue to get warmer.
I was really excited when I found out my Albertson's had the double coupons! They must have been delivered with the Oregonians, 'cause they didn't have them when I called on Friday. I've been getting some deals, but wish I had had more notice, 'cause I don't have time to get all the coupons I would want to have. Hopefully they will start having them on a regular basis. I was starting to lose hope and thinking I was going to have to do most of my shopping at Safeway. I like Albertson's and it's the closest to my house. Also, the people there are really friendly.
