In honor of Jane4girls I am setting a goal for the year for my household spending. I think I will include HBA, paper products, Food, drugs non RX. This will not include eating out. We eat out a couple times per month and now that we use resturants.com we have cut that spending way down. I was thinking 3k for the year. It sounds excessive next to Erin and 800 for a year. Yesterday we hit the Mother load :dance3: or more specifically Killroy the Ninja hit the Mother load and decided to share the wealth… so here is what happened… Killroy had to walk to the school to pick up her son because her husbands truck is on the blink and he took her Car to work so….. she puts the baby in the stroller and walks the like 2 blocks to the school giving herself ample time she arrived early and spied a overflowing recycle bin, well when I say overflowing...

Well because of the Purex deal my 100.00 did not last the entire week. That’s to be expected as I stock up on items when they hit a good price. I spent 128.00 last week. Keep in mind that I now have enough laundry detergent for a year. I got 58 bottles at 1.50 each that’s 87 dollars out of the 128. I don’t need to buy laundry detergent for at least a year. I know 1.50 may not be a stock up price for everyone but before HCW if I got detergent for 4.00 I thought I was doing...

Its interesting keeping this blog and seeing how much I change my mind about how I want to track my savings, and how I want to organize my coupons and what I consider a good deal…. :hectic1: So today after feed back from freckle, and Kilroy the Ninja I have taken out $100.00 and put it in my coupon zipper bag I use for the pulled coupons I intend to use at the store that day. Well this last week I have gone to the store on the way home from work just about everyday. A quick trip in to grab one thing or another, CVS to pick up Excedrin, Kroger for JJ Baby oil and Excedrin blinkies as well as checking to see if they have any of the other free stuff like the sausage links ect... Smaller orders definitely push up the saving percentage over all I have spent about $26 for groceries for the week. And I have a savings % of like 78% however I am not counting that...
