Keeping up a blog is hard work! I have been busy with school, and kids, and life in general. I have not stopped shopping though!
The manager at CVS was ringing me out on Sunday and he complimented how well I did with my coupons and said I was one of those "smart shoppers". I'm not even a super couponer at CVS. I don't do all the ECB deals and I don't do multiple transactions and I only have one card. So the fact that he complimented me just shows that there are no other couponers in my area (that and they always have stock).
Lowe's Foods has been my main focus for the past few weeks. Here are some of the things I have been getting:
Gatorade $1 - .50/1 tearpad doubled = free
Smart Balance 50/50 Butter $1.99 - .75/1 doubled = .49
Barber Foods Chicken Cordon Bleu 4.99 BOGO - (2) $1/1 = 2.99/2
Bagelfuls 1.50- $1 = .50
Aunt Jemima Waffles .99 - $1/2 = .98/2
Tabasco (for my mom) 1.55 - .75 blinkie = .05
I don't even remember everything I bought the other day. DH gets mad every time I get something for the freezer b/c he then has to reorganize it LOL
My mom loves tabasco and I have a million coupons. They expire in about 2 weeks so there might not be a good sale on it by then. I have been stocking up at .05/bottle since she is usually buying the big bottle for $3.25 every week.
It is kind of a pain when you have about 50 coupons for something and the store will only double 4 like coupons per order. So I have had to make several trips. I will probably be shopping here more now that Food Lion has stopped combining manu. Qs with store Qs.

At least your store doubles :( my cvs doesnt not double anything and krogers only doubles to 40 cents (rarely 50 cents). I have only been doing deals for two weeks so I'm still hopeful that I will find a store in my area that doubles!Posted 06-10-2008 at 10:44:13 AM by cbobylev

Great deals especially on the Smart Balance.
My DH is the same way. He tells me I can't get anything for the freezer cuz it is maxed out in space
