Pumpkins carved...

I finished carving my two youngest DD's pumpkins this afternoon. For all the little curves and lines, they turned out pretty good and now we have Cinderella and a Dragon to proudly display.
As for my older kids, I told them that they were on their own this year and that I wasn't doing any of the work for them. Yah right! My oldest DD changed her mind like 10 times and ended up with a one eyed Sponge Bob. And DS, he carved his into the shape of a buttock with the hole and all. Gross! Just gross! If that wasn't bad enough, he arranged it so that some of the fleshy pumpkin guts oozed out of it. Uhhhh! Kids!!! Now I have a pretty decent sense of humor, but we have lots of little kids in our neighborhood and this pumpkin is just not right! So... I ended up flipping the darn thing around, and manipulating a different crack on the back into three gauged claw marks with fingers coming out of it. On Friday, I will add some left over pumpkin flesh to the inside and outside of the pumpkin, and make it look like something is clawing its way out. Better that than the spewing rear end on its other side.
