Uhhh...

Today is one of those days. I dropped off my DD at school and headed over to the vets office to pick-up my dogs meds that I had pre-paid for, over a week ago, and to which I had specifically asked them to call me for when they got them in. They never called and so I called them yesterday to find out that they had forgotten to call me. Nice. So today I called and got the message that they open at 7:30am M-F. So, I headed over there and they were closed. On the door was a note apologizing and stating that they would be open at 8:30am today. *sigh* So I waited around with my youngest DD for them to open.
After this, I went to CVS and had a "duh" moment. Paid with Q's, ECB's and GC, but still couldn't figure out why my balance used with GC was so high. So I came home and figured out that the calculated savings in my brain were ahead of the ECB's that I had earned for todays purchases. Thinking too hard here I guess. Go figure.
After this, I called and spoke to the school cafeteria lunch lady regarding an erroneous debit on my DD's pre-paid lunch account that I had just set up last week. According to the cafeteria lady, my child owed them $2.25 from 8/29. Ummmm NO! Up until I set up the pre-paid account last week through their new system, I was giving my daughter exact change for lunch on Fridays (they have pizza that day and she brings her lunch from home the other 4 days). On that particular date I specifically remember giving my DD $2.75, of which was an extra 50¢ for ice cream that they ended up not having until last Friday. So she actually ended up bringing home the extra 50¢. Last Friday, I gave DD $2.25 again (she still had the 50¢ for ice cream in her bag) with the knowledge that the pre-paid account money would kick in this week.
Even with all this mentioned, it was difficult talking to the lunch lady because she insisted on talking while I was talking the whole time. How rude is that? After I finally got my point across through her butting in, she stated to me that it was "her word against mine" (what!) regarding what really happened and that she would credit my daughters account the $2.25, but just this once. Mmm.. okay... fine. So, I politely thanked her, hung up, and called the school principal to make her aware of what had just occurred so that she could further look into it. I should be satisfied and I am going to move on, but I am hoping that the principal takes this matter seriously because the cafeteria lady needs to made aware of her inappopriate behavior and if there is a problem with their new pre-paid system, they need to look into now not later.
As if this wasn't already aggravating, I went to exchange my DD's music book because the store sold me the wrong one. Upon calling earlier this morning, they had told me that the new books would be in around 1pm. Upon arriving there, the new books still hadn't been delivered yet. Uhhh!!! What a day this has been. But chin up here, I don't experience these days that often and I did do good at CVS.
