I've been in Nv for a week now and it has been a huge adjustment for my BF and I. There are plenty of stores w/in a 10 miles radius.
The first night, we went to Vons. I was so excited because they double coupon. I thought I was going to make a steal. Went to the register and found out they don't double. I was so disappointed. Luckily I found $1 fruit peelies, free capri sun wyb 5 pack Mac n Chz, and couple of other peelies.
My 2nd trip was to Smith's. In Ca we didn't have a Smith's. I was amazed at the price. I bought couple of things for Thanksgiving dinner. I also found a bunch of peelies, WT's, and MIR.

3rd trip was to Albertson's. There was a coupon for Free milk wyb 4 Kellogg's cereal. I had $1 peelies ang Free wyb 2 peelies. I also found $10 Bud MIR and $20 decroration Bud MIR. I was so thrill to be able to find all these coupons. I love it!!!

Now all I have to do is figure out all the deals. Oh and I made my 1st purchase at CVS. I bought the Tylenol and got $2.49 ECB's. I just gotta learn how to roll it. I should of did the deals from Black Friday but I wasn't ready.

Overall my shopping experience has been a wonderful trip. I can't wait to save $$$ and hopefully buy a house next year.

I had to return a flat iron I had bought at Walmart. It didn't work very well. I couldn't find my reciept so I was hoping they can look up my account. Went to return it and the girl said she can give me store credit. She gave me $15 credit. I told her I paid $25 something for it. She said w/o a reciept it's what ever rang up on the register. I thought it was odd. I went to check out the price myself and the sticker said $28.43 on it. I went back to customer service and this time it was another person. They still wouldn't refund me the amount I paid so I just took back my flat iron. I was determine to fine my reciept.

I was so mad that I couldn't get my money back so I went to look for the Polly Ann peelies. I found a bunch and I peel every single one of them off. Usually I would leave some becuase I would feel guilty for taking it but this time I was so piss off I took it all. Finding the peelies made it worth my trip to Walmart. Now I gotta figure out what to do w/ it because I don't have any kids.:shrug7:

I wanted to go to Lucky's to pick up a bag of 10lb potatoe. They were on sale for .99c. I'm going to make potatoe soup for tonight dinner. I went trolling for coupons and this is what I found.

Winetags:
(2) Save $1 on Roasted Chicken
(3) Save $2 on Artichokes (min $5 purchase)

Peelies:
(4) Free capri sun 100% Juice wyb Kraft Macroni 5pack
(4) Save $1 now on Kellogg's Cereal

With peelies I only took a couple. There were more but I didn't want to be greedy.

Tearpads:
(10) Free Stove wyb 3

There were tons of these and again I only took a handful. I want to make sure my coupon karma is good for the next shopping trip. This is the biggest find for me. I've always been so envious w/ everyone else finding coupons. :banana1::carrot::dance16::banana1::banana1:
Since all of the craziness and drama I had over the summer, I'm trying to rebuild my coupon stash. I'm hoping by the time I move to my new place, I can start my stockpile of food again. And when they New Year arrive, I can start saving some $$$$$.

Found my Tostitos Rebate Check

Last night I decided to start planning my December budget. As I was going thru all my bills, throwing out junk mail etc., I found my Tostitos Rebate Check for $8.00. Lucky I found it because I would have to deposit it before Nov. 20, 2007. All that work trying to trade for the rebate form, filling it out and when the check does come I lose it....I would have been pissed off.

I'm trying my hardest to get my finance and life organize. When I move I want a fresh start. I want to be financially stable and start paying off my bills. Start saving $$$ for a vacation in Europe and a house. I feel like, I've been living paycheck to paycheck. The funny thing is, I make a pretty good living but I find that living in the bay area, all your $$$ goes to rent.

Living cost is so high that I find it difficult and stressful living in the bay area even though the weather is beautiful year round. I wonder if it's even worth it because I was working like crazy and I hardly ever got a chance to enjoy the weather. There are beautiful mountains, the beaches, diverse culture etc. but I'm not sure if I would be happy living in a place where I'm living to work and not work to live.

I feel moving to Nevada, where living cost is a lot lower, I will be able to get myself competely out of debt. Finally I can take a deep breathe and live comfortably and not have to worry about how I'm going to pay the rent. It will allow me to have the extra $$$ to actually take a vacation enjoy my life while I'm young. I can't wait.......

Last night, one of my friend from work through a small get Good-Bye get together for me. She made her famous mango salsa but instead of the mango she substitute it with papaya. There wasn't any fresh mango at the fruit stand so she used papaya instead. She add jalepeno and chipolte peppers to it too. It's awesome and I'm gonna miss her salsa when I move. She had a bunch of appetitizers and drinks. We just reminise about old time at work. It's going to be sad to say good-bye to everyone.
I think the hardest thing when moving to another state is the friends you leave behind. You can't just call them up and meet them somewhere or just hang out. I'm going to miss all the craziness and drama we had at work. There were lots of good times and I'm gonna miss it.

So on my way to Safeway, I realize I ran out of gas. My BF left it on empty and I didn't know how long the empty light was on. Luckily there was a gas station about 2 blocks down from where I am living. I went to the gas station about to pay, when it says to go see the clerk. I went inside and come to find out, the gas line was down. The guy said it would be about 2 minutes. 2 minutes past, then 15 minutes. I went back inside and they guy said it will be down for another 1 hour. I told the guy I was complete empty and wasn't sure I had enough to get to another gas station. He said he would follow me just in gas. Talk about great customer service. I did make it to another gas station.
I finally made it to Safeway. They had the whole chicken for .69 c/lb. It's a great steal. I bought 4 chicken. I'm going to roast the chicken tonight for dinner. I figure I would do a little coupon hunting since I've been so out of it for 3 months. My coupon folder is empty. I went to the cereal aisle and before my eyes were pink peelies. :BigHand::BigHand::BigHand:
I was so happy. It was buy any combination of 3 or more GM Big G cereals, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Nature Valley Grnola Bars and get 1 Free Nature Valley Granola Bars (up tp $3.91). I only took 6. I always feel bad taking them. So if anyone wants to trade let me know.

I am in the process of relocating to Henderson, Nv. I probably will be looking at several different apartments in Green Valley and stay there for about 6 months. This will give me a chance to learn my surrounding and see what areas I want to live in. I really want to live as close to work as possible. Coming from the bay area and I am so spoil with the Bart system, I don't think I can handle traffic during commute time.
I've also did some research around the area and found the following stores are near by: CVS (will be my first time shopping here) and there is a 99Ranch in Las Vegas which is about 20 miles from work. =) For those of you who never been to 99 Ranch, you should if there is one in your area. It's a chinese supermarket with a BBQ Delhi, Soup, Drink, Sushi, & Dim Sum. I love their fresh produce, meat selection and the price is great.
I am pretty excited about my move. It's a new chapter in my life and is a great opportunity for me.
