Looking @ a new washing machine from lowes

Posted 02-15-2009 at 05:25:05 AM by nmeadows0101

I 've been sick to say the least. Well in a atempt to feel better we went to lowes. We need a new washer, I would like a front end.
We found some that I like and one of them I had ask the sales person if they sold it with out 2 of the features. I don't use them .
He checked and they did, it is in Hickory, nc
will they have a sale now for 10% off , so that would make it about 718.00 plus tax.

and it is Energy Star , you can claim that on your taxes for next yr. (woohoo).

I was wondering is there a way to get this even lower?
I thought it was a good price and we need one really soon.
according to the energy star sheets, it should cost us about $1 per use(68%?) plus the 67% savings in water.
I remember they are very close in numbers.
so with this our powerbill should drop by 35.00 - 40.00 a month or more. It would be around $70.00 or so if that is right.

I think that a lower powerbill would be great.

anyone else?

we got a front loader when we moved to our home a little over a year ago, we also got it at lowes, it was 50% off on clearance because it was a discontinued model. We paid about 350$ for it and 350$ for the matching dryer. So check out the clearance section at the stores. We did happen to go in the day they marked it that low, but sometimes i have seen them for 20% off, etc.

I would say you can definitely expect to lower your water bill but as far as that big $ electric cut I wouldn't count on it. I bought both energy star washer & dryer last February and we did not see that big of a difference on the electric bill. JMO

Do a search online for coupons. Lowes usually has at least a 10% off all the time.
