Just venting
after my classes, I picked up my youngest at school and headed to the high school to pick up my teen. I didn't even get half way.
My van just stopped a few miles after I left from getting my youngest. It stopped while I was 2nd in line at the stop light at rush hr. and traffic was so bad.
Finally after the traffic was back up some 3 men came and 1 of them said , Hon this is a bad time for your van to break down!
That didn't go over to good but I looked at him and said well, I didn't tell it break down.
The other 2 men didn't say anything, but the 3 of them helped push it out of the road.
2 people looked at it and said the timing chain may have broke which runs close to 1200.00 unless someone is very nice to you and doesn't charge that,
I have breaking news~!!!
I am a full time student taking 5 classes and hb is the only one working. WE don't have that kinda money floating around here. I am still trying to save up some when I can and trying to figure out how to cut the bills down some.
I will not know how much I get back from my pell grant until the end of the mo. ( which I had planned on putting up for groceries to get us through until Jan. if I keep saving like I did last mo. )
Man, what a couple of days it has been and I don't know when it well get better.
However, I do know that God gives us test to see how we will do with them. I am not sure if I am passing this one gracfully or not yet. I am trying not to be worried and I am trying to give it to him to show us what to do about this mess, but it is very hard to do when so much is riding on it or it feels like it now.
I pray that we will see away to fix this.

| | I talked to my hubby , he is at work today. I ask him that when he gets home if he would go with me to target( since I have traded for q's for the poptart deal) incase the truck decide not to start up. He said it was working fine until I drove it, I told him that was not to funny or very nice. I am hoping that he goes when he gets in, he was picking on me and he did laugh to try to take the steam out of the events. I am thank-ful that we didn't get hit hard by Hanna. I saw a minute ago that IKE looks rough and they are asking people to start leaving island, etc. already. maybe this will be the last big storm this season? |

| | Sometimes colleges or high schools have shop students work on cars in class and just charge for the cost of parts. You might ask. $1200 just seems too high for replacing a timing belt. Otherwise I'd ask around for a shade tree mechanic. My grandson works on our van and on friends cars to make tuition money. Hope Ike leaves you alone. |

| | updating for sat. when my hubby got home from work, some how things got busy and we ended up picking up our son. He went with ROTC to SC to the airforce base for the day. well, needless to say I had trade for poptart q's and didn't make it target to use them. I am hoping that they maybe on sale in the next wk or so. We have another person coming by today(sunday) to look at the van. WE will soon see what he says about it. |
