we have been taking all of the cans out to a old pick-up truck in the back yd.
It is going to be my son's in a few mos. However, we have been tossing the cans on the back of it. We were told that the cans are going at a good price now, so today after my hb came hoe from work. We took all the cans out and crushed them by running over them with the truck.
18 cans make 1 lb.
so we ended up with 3 1/2 bags or so.
I think he is going to turn them into cash in the mg.
Then we are going to go buy some school clothes for the kids with it and maybe go by target and if I buy 2 shirts it says I can get a $5 gc and a 20.00 pr jeans get another $5 gc. so that is a thought too.
in the mg , I will know how much he got for them.
Just another way of saving $ and helping the world too.

 |  teehee i never thought of using the truck to crush them...i always wanted to save my cans..but without knowing what place takes and pay for them..:( my DH doesn't want "junk" laying around. I was able to save my newspapers after passing a dumpster one day marked paper recycling..so he lets me do that. I know there is a lot of money involved w/ pop cans and so manypeople throw them out including me :( |

| |  well, I am still working on away to make more room in the kitchen. I use the brown bags to put plastic bottles in then as the fill up I put them into a trash bag for him to take off. Then I have a small bx for cans which is taking a little while to some in it , I will take them to a friend so she can put them in her recycling bin. The drink cans well to me in the back of the truck is as good as place as any and I can use it as a crusher too-LOL. My son drives now with his permit, but not with me. He has alaready scared me by not slowing down when he should have stopped. I said to him do you know what red means? Anyway, today we will start another round and use it for Christmas. extra $ is always good. Recycling is good, so why not do both.LOL |

| |  Oh awesome! I used to collect/sell cans, but the place that takes them is just so far away. =/ I think the best I ever got was like fifty something dollars. Boy that was a while a go now that I think about it. |

| | my hb said his sister got 75.00 a wk or so ago. that is pretty good. We got about 30.00, but we didn't have many. I told the kids now what ever is saved up may go toward christmas, that gives them something to do to. |
