I know we have a food pantry at church and it is so low from so many people coming in because of the hard times. I wonder if they would use a source like this to build it up?
I know every sunday the bullentine they had out is very long of needs on it.

| | there are many members here who donate tons of food to the local food pantry in their neighborhoods and churches. They pretty much need the same things we would all use in our homes. |

| | I know that we have took them boxes of food, but the list keeps growing every sunday. We tithe to it also and that helps some. It shows a huge need. I am glad to help where I can, you never know it could be us one day. |

| | when I shop I try and think of the things I would need, things that will last a long time too. then I usually pick up extra for the food banks to have. Rice, dried beans, dried peas, pasta, peanut butter are all things that any food bank will always take. |

| | Yes, yes, yes! Our church belongs to a co-op of churches in our town, which offer an emergency ministries assistance and food pantry. I am able to donate because I coupon and get great DEALS! Also, our church is offering a "Shareable Wearables" giveaway on August 23rd; there will be gently-used clothing, haircuts, hotdogs and drinks, etc.--all FREE! My pastor okayed my suggestion of putting together bags of grocery/HBA/school supplies with a packet of church bulletin, church magazine, and printout of service times and ministries in the bag, also. So....I'm offering my coupon "stash"--can you say 50 tubes of Colgate toothpaste at 21 cents each--to supply the grocery bags! Hey, I'm having FUN putting together some great coupon deals, folks are gonna get some things they can truly USE, and Jesus will receive ALL of the glory! Edited to Add: Some of the things being offered in the grocery bags will be: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, hair care, baby wipes, baby products, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, pens, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, kleenex, spiral notebooks, erasers, etc.---I'm so EXCITED! (Bet y'all can tell that!) |
