September Grocery Budget

I don't really have a budget set up and in the last 2 months that I have started using coupons, I can see where if I don't have a budget set up, I can actually spend up more just because it's fun to see the stockpile build!

Since I have a lot of things already that we would normally buy, I am going to set the grocery budget at $300.

$300 left.

9/4/07 Went Safeway today and I spent $92.01 and I got a $2 OYNO so that $2 goes back into the Sept budget.

$300.00 - $90.01 = $209.99 remaining.

This trip was a good trip because our normal grocery trips are closer to $200 each time. And there were some things I could have not gotten or done something different. Things I'll work on for future trips!

9/15/07 ~ DH went to buy milk (and came home w/ more than that... )

$209.99 - $20.00 = $189.99

9/20/07 ~ 2nd Safeway trip was $91.56

$189.99 - $91.56 = $98.43

9/24/07 ~ Trip to FoodMax for Dog Food (with DH). $80.97. Picked up $25 of dog food and 4 12pks of coke ($10). Bought meat for the rest of week as well as more fresh fruit

$98.43 - $80.97 = $17.46

Deducting the $2 afterall because I let the coupon expire

$17.46 - $2.00 = $15.46

I think we did pretty good! I set a limit and we stuck to it. Great job for us!!
