With summer here, my time is going to be 0.

So i've been shopping like a mad woman the past few days!

My OOP is sooo high, but come summer, you start eating out on the grill etc.

So my goal is now to have an 85% saving overall at the end of the year.

Here is a break down (not by store) of all the stuff i've gotten.

10lbs of steak
15lbs of potatos
2 6 packs of smirnoff (hey it's summer and hot!)
30 bottles of all laundry
5 velveeta shells and cheese cups
100 koolaid packets
1 pack of pork ribs
21 complete contact solution
6 bottles of old spice body wash
6 old spice b/s
2 tracphones
10 various things of printer ink
2 gillette body washes
10 womans nivea body wash
10 mens nivea body wash

total spent: $92 (alot of it was tax!)
total saved (TO THE PENNY!) $1,020.10

I went shopping at like 3am sunday morning :hysterical:

15 womans shave gel

a bunch of fillers, pepperoni 1 gallon of milk and 1 gallon of chocolate milk, $10 kroger GC, 5 cover girl make up

did ALOT of shopping this week. Stocked up on stuff i needed (my oop was a bit high)

So, right now i'm just trying to stay at saving 90% of what i spend.

5th of june i'm having a yard sale, hopefully that will knock all my OOP down for the year!

I went out to walgreens this morning...

6 or 7 little fillers

$20 (gotta love tax!) I'm paying $2.xx almost every transaction JUST in tax! Which i don't mind because razors are like gold around here! and i'm gettin a 4 count refill with them:giggle2:

Between Kroger and Walgreens...

I scored:

25 boxes of cereal
40 Schick razors
10 refills for the razors
4 tooth pastes
2 deodorant
10 shaving gels

$35 OOP

Saved:

$300 (roughly)

* I rolled cats and had a 0 OOP at kroger, and my Walgreens OOP was high because of tax :(

spent $30 STINKING DOLLARS!
Thankfully i can put it against my FSA.

He still saved about $50, just didnt use the RR's i gave him to roll!

Kroger- 20 more scrubbing bubbles, 60 bags of cat treats, 10 papers

$50 was spent,

getting $30 back from my step dad for the cat treats PLUS we got $10 in cats for buying them.
wohoo!

$10 (cost of the papers only!)

saved $300 on this trip!

Once agian, hardly any shopping has been done.

Over the last few days, i have been going for the scrubbing bubbles though.

and i think that's it....

Spent $85 OOP (most was tax though)
*tax REALLY sucks here. For every 8 bottles of scrubbing bubbles it was almost $5 in tax!!!

Recieved back in RR's and Cats- $280 (started with NONE- No rr's no cat's for Kroger)

Saved- $1040ish

Trial and Error- Facts of life.

After a really bad week, and realizing alot of things... I decided to make it my personal goal to make a store realize how screwed up their policys differ.

Due to bad information given by everyone, and the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.. it created a problem that people wanted to look over.

After countless hours on the phone, explaining situations and reminding them of conversations with other people that called asking the same thing, i'm proud to say something is being done! I realized that i may only be one voice but i'm persistant and if there is a problem i'll let you know it untill you fix it.

If i still have to call everyday to remind them of the problems, i shall do it.

It's hard trying to tell fellow shoppers what you've learned, and taken as the "law" of Kroger then finding out the information you were given, and learned from blogs/sites isn't even 100% right.

Coupon fraud is running wild in Cincinnati (one of the top 3 couponing places in America) I don't know about you, but i prefer not to tick off my store and <3 shopping there.

So take this from a nobody, if you feel strong about something, keep raising your voice untill your heard. I might have ticked off a trail of people on the way, because it questioned what they said, and annoyed the crap out of 2 offices full of employees, but i finally was heard, and made atleast the employees realize there is a problem.

Yea, it might have ruined the overage at mega events, yea more then likely it will stop some doubling of coupons that shouldn't be doubled anyways, but to get everyone on the same page, a uniformed policy... is priceless!

I encourage EVERYONE to do what they can do to help out their town!

I had been collecting simple stuff for easter (as my dogs and NO dogs should eat chocolate LOL!) and went and dropped off all the easter candy we had been collecting the last month.

Also dropped off all the lunchables i had gotten from Kroger and the tuna. I spent lots of hours (so did dh) shopping at 16+ kroger just to make this donation, because i hate people who shelf clear :rolleyes24:

I'm blessed to have tons of Kroger near me to be able to shop!

The food pantry (Greenwell Church) was estatic to get the donation. I try to divey up when i donate. SO many places need help... so please, Remember to help out fellow people and donate your extras!!!:BigHand:
